Personal data protection of natural persons, in relation to processing their personal data, represents a fundamental right. Therefore, the matter requires a strong and coherent enforcement. Thus, in order to ensure a high-level protection, consistent and homogenous for all EU member states, the new General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") was adopted at EU level. 

In this respect, every company dealing with personal data must observe specific requirements provided by the GDPR, adversely risking fines.
